民航快递于1996年由民航总局、国航、东航、南航以及中国各主要机场共同出资注册成立，为社会公众提供安全、快捷的航空运输服务产品。2002年民航快递加入中航集团，成为旗下唯一从事综合物流业务的公司。
China Air Express was established in 1996 by Civil Aviation Administration of China, Air China Ltd., China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, and other major airport authorities in China, with the goal to provide safe and fast air freight transportation services. In 2002, China Air Express joined China National Aviation Holding Company as the only comprehensive logistics service provider in the entire group. CAE has four core business sectors including contracted logistics service, freight forwarder, warehouse and international logistics service.
民航快递的核心业务焦距于高时效要求的服务，以及定制化服务的行业物流方案，重点服务于医疗设备、医药产品、电子通信产品及其备件、汽车零备件、快速消费品等行业的需要。民航快递在紧急物流、备件物流、样本递送、时效包裹、临床快递等领域能提供一系列的全方位服务。
